Terra Hand-Thrown Vase

The story+
Thrown on a kick wheel in a studio outside Kyoto, then glazed with ash from the same kiln that fires it. No two surfaces repeat.
The neck is deliberately narrow: three stems will look composed where thirty would not.

Care+
- Dishwasher safe; hand washing preserves the unglazed foot.
- Let the piece reach room temperature before adding hot water.
- Small tonal shifts are inherent to a wood-ash glaze.
Questions+
- Will my vase look exactly like the photograph?
- No — and that is the intention. Ash glaze pools differently on every piece; tone and mottling vary within the same colourway.
